OC card

This Nexo expansion card is adding eight transistor outputs of the type open collector. Along the control of potential-free, it enables the controlling of devices with an operating voltage of 24 V, and a load up to 300 mA.

These so-called gates are usually equipped with potential-free inputs, where, together with the OC card, the signal is interpreted and the corresponding command is sent to a concrete blind or its groups.

Temperature sensor module TUKAN

Element of the Nexo system responsible for temperature measurement. Most often used to coordinate the work of heating, air conditioning, ventilation and control of other devices with a temperature operating parameter in the range -30/110 degrees Celsius.

THE MOST IMPORTANT PRODUCT FEATURES:

The small housing makes the installation of the sensor in the can very simple. The rectangular housing allows to compose the sensor among numerous wires without any difficulty installing under a traditional switch.

The signal LED informs if the device has received the appropriate bus status and whether the communication with the system is correct.

The miniature probe allows easy and discreet installation of the sensor under the switch or in another place designed for temperature measurement.

Connectors provide 100% quality assembly of bus cables.

REED CONTACT

A reed contact is used as a part of the alarm system as well as an element automatically determining the turning-on of any circuit (e.g. lighting in the dressing room after opening the door). Also, it is used for turning-off the mechanical ventilation system or the air conditioning when it detects an open window. The indication is also often connected with the indication of the rain sensor. If both sensors are turned on at the same time, Nexo may notify the resident, and take autonomous action, like closing the windows if they are provided with an appropriate cylinder.

Movement sensor

PIR (PASSIVE INFRA RED)

Movement sensors are usually used to detect presence while the alarm system is armed. In the case of Nexo, when the alarm system is disarmed, the same sensor can be used for turning-on any circuit, for instance lighting, groups or action sequences.

RAIN SENSOR

Any information from this sensor can be used for the automatic closing of windows or cancelling the work of the garden sprinklers.

SOIL HUMIDITY SENSOR

This sensor is placed several centimetres below the surface. It is informing the system about the state of the soil, and allows deciding to launch action sequences of the garden sprinklers.

FIRE-DETECTION SENSOR | GAS-DETECTION SENSOR

Fire-detecting sensors are essential elements in every home, not only intelligent ones. Connecting them to Nexo, and their appropriate programmed action scenarios can save lives. The most often programmed functions, in case of detecting fire, are sending text messages to selected people, notifying the control unit of the security service, optical and acoustic signalling, and raising the blinds to enable evacuation.

The gas-detection sensors are a necessary protection in case that sedative gases are detected inside a building. Especially prone to this are objects equipped with mechanical ventilation systems. Insertion of gas into the air will cause a rapid and effective spread inside the building. The connection of this sensor type will result acoustic and optical alarm, text message notification of certain people, and notifying the security service.

Anemometr
WIND FORCE SENSOR

Using awnings and some blinds requires from time to time their closure, in order to protect against a large force of wind. The anemometer measures that force, and continuously transmit this information to the system. On this basis, Nexo can prevent damage in any critical moment closing the awnings and blinds. If the information about a higher wind speed is also relevant for a household member for another reason, this person can informed by text message or somehow else, like with a blinking LED RGB lighting in a chosen colour.

FLOODING SENSOR

This sensor is mainly used in rooms where there is a high risk of flooding, like laundry room, bathroom and kitchen. The detection of liquid causes the closing of the electro valves by the system, and notify the resident.

The lighting controllers are modules which are designed to control light points. They are able turning on and off the lighting as well as dimming.

Additionally, modules with the dimming function can turn on and off the light using the ramp. This means that the light does not turn on or off immediately clicking the button, but within a few seconds.

Management possibilities

The lighting controllers allow you to control them in the automation system in many ways. To turn the lighting on and off, the user can use the programmable switch, the touch panel as well as our mobile application, used on smartphones and tablets.

Integration with automation

The lighting can also be a part of the automation. Lights can be turned on automatically if the motion sensors realise movements in a room, the lights will be turned off again after a few minutes when the person left the room. The decision process can be enriched by checking additional conditions, for instance if it is bright or dark outside. If we have for example a gloomy day outside, the lights will only be lit up to 30 %. The closer we get to the evening, the light level will grow step by step to 100 % after sunset. In the same time, the lighting controllers are working together with the alarm system. If the night alarm is active, the lighting of supervised parts is turned off. In case that you are going to work, all lights are off except the one on the facade.

Lighting in the programmable manipulators

The lighting automation can work together with manipulators in that way that after entering a room the light will automatically turn on, and also the corresponding icon on the switch will blink. If you are clicking onto the icon, it will change from automatic to manual mode.

Usually, the lighting is indicated on the manipulators with lamps or light bulbs. The icon can change its colour depending on being turned on or off. Another important feature is the multitouch option – touching the whole manipulator with the palm switches on a specific light. A similar option exists with the knob of the WPD manipulator.

Emergency lighting

At the moment that there is fire or burglary alarm, the house will light up completely, so that the tenants can leave the building safely, or the housebreaker get frightened. In addition, you can program one of the buttons of a manipulator in your sleeping room, so that this button enables a complete light-up of the house – this is a nice feature when you are home alone.

Window blind controllers TUKAN

The available versions of the device controlling blinds and gates:

The window blind controllers are mainly designed for controlling rolling shutters, awnings and blinds.

They are also used for controlling devices that have a similar working mechanism. Examples for this are projection screens, projector lifts and even engines for tilt-and-turn windows.

THE MAIN PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS:

  • High load capacity
  • Paired relay outputs with a maximum load up to 12 A.
  • Operating modes – NO (normally opened) and NC (normally closed).
  • Use of separate relays allows controlling devices at 230 VAC and 24 VDC.
  • Device protection:
    • Each pair is programmatically protected, thus simultaneous operations of both outputs are prevented, it may cause damage to the connected device.
