The TUKAN bus card is one of the key components of the Nexo system.
It serves as a communication bridge between the mainboard and the bus elements (actuator modules, temperature sensors, control panels).

KEY PRODUCT FEATURES:
- Integration of the system bus with the Nexo control unit
- Allows connection of devices operating on a single-wire system, helping to reduce the complexity of the building’s wiring infrastructure.
- Galvanic isolation of the bus cable
- Provides proper separation of power supply voltage, signals, and any interference that may occur on the bus cable from the system’s central unit and other bus cables, if present.
- Protocol-level support for basic system bus functions
- The card offloads the central unit by handling essential tasks required for proper bus operation, such as continuous device presence polling and device addressing.
- Ability to connect up to 32 Tukan devices
- A single bus line can support up to 32 devices.
- If more devices are needed, additional cards can be added to expand the address space up to 128 modules.
- 24VDC power supply
- Due to its galvanic isolation, the bus card requires a separate power source—specifically, a bus power supply unit (see accessories).
- DIN rail mounting (TH-35)
SUPPORT FOR UP TO 128 DEVICES IN A SINGLE SYSTEM

The total number of bus devices in a single Nexo system—such as function buttons, actuator modules (e.g., lighting, relays, etc.), or temperature sensors—can reach up to 128. This capacity is more than sufficient even for large-scale installations.
1
QUICK INSTALLATION
Fast screw terminal connectors (plug-and-socket type) and DIN rail (TH-35) mounting ensure hassle-free and rapid installation.
2
PASS-THROUGH CONNECTOR
The pass-through connector for expansion card interfaces enables easy mounting of multiple cards on a single DIN rail.

3
LED STATUS INDICATORS
LED indicators provide real-time information about the card’s operating status.
4
VENTILATION HOLES
Ventilation openings help maintain proper airflow for devices housed within the electrical distribution cabinet.
Star topology or something else?
TOPOLOGY
A star connection layout is the most universal structure used in automation. However, with Nexo, the topology can be freely chosen. The only requirement is to avoid creating loops in the bus line. This flexibility gives the electrician a wide range of options, ultimately enhancing the functionality of the system itself.
Easy connections…
SIMPLE DESIGN
The TUKAN communication bus, which integrates all bus devices into the system, uses only 4 wires (2 for data lines A and B, and 2 for 24VDC power). The type of module doesn’t matter—all TUKAN devices use the same connection standard. For components located in the distribution board, TUKAN mounting rails are used to eliminate unnecessary cabling.
Your electrician will appreciate it!

Everything in its place
NEXO DISTRIBUTION BOARD
To simplify the installer’s job when mounting modules in the distribution board, each module is equipped with dedicated connectors that allow control wires to be connected outside the module. The pre-wired bundle is then simply plugged into the appropriate socket. This method ensures high-quality connections and long-term reliability of the module.
An additional convenience is the bus bar that provides digital communication between devices. Thanks to this, module startup is quick, and communication line connections are stable and dependable.
The entire wiring layout is also neat and easy to understand for any engineer.
