The device is designed for flush-mounted installation. Its total thickness on the wall – 6 mm.
Modern design
The manipulator is made of the glass type “Optiwhite” painted in white or black colour.
To reach the aim of the “golden ratio”, the glass pane has chamfers as well as 18 additional grindings, so that there is no chance of getting snags, and to ensure certain aesthetics of the product.

Multi-functional knob
The manipulator WPD is equipped with a multi-functional knob. In the normal working mode the knob lets you smoothly navigate through the menu and activate the selected functions. During a transition time the device turns to the screen saver mode, with simply holding the button it wakes up and returns to the main menu. Additionally, in the screen-saver mode it is possible to assign completely new functions determined by the user’s imagination, which are only limited by the devices used within the operating field in the Nexo system. That functionality is quite often used in living and bedrooms. Entering a room the first thing to do is switching on the lights. Therefore you just press the knob, but this is only half of the function. A similar usage is possible with the blinds. If you turn the knob to the right, you raise them, to the left you lower them. With every stepwise rotation turning the knob to the left or to the right it is possible to change the angle of the blind slats.

To reduce the number of devices used in a room, a thermostat, whose task it is to control the heating as well as the air conditioning, is integrated into the device.
Control of the multi-room system
Radio included
The integration of a multi-room system into the system allows the management of its functions from the WPD. It enables changing the volume of the music as well as selecting the source. You can listen to the radio, MP3 or CDs.
MENU
The touch-screen of the manipulator is divided into six sections to allow an optimum usage of the display.
There are no limitations concerning the amount of used icons, so it is possible to build-up a proper menu, designed at user’s option.
EXAMPLE OF MENU FUNCTIONS
Living room – dining room – kitchen
Start screen – room separation – three folders are symbolising rooms e.g. kitchen, dining room or living room and elements they have in common like heating, ventilation or blinds.
Kitchen – On the screen you can control the ceiling lights, the lighting of the cupboards as well as the wall lamps. A built-in audio controller allows also to control the radio, CD or MP3 during the preparation of the daily meals. After a predetermined time the lighting used for family dinner turns off automatically because a motion sensor detects when all family members are gone.
Dining room – Here it’s possible to regulate the lighting of the table, wall lamps, cupboards or the background lighting of paintings. The lighting scenes can be bound for family dinners just as for Sunday breakfasts on a cloudy morning. Along to the started scenario a fitting radio channel is turning on to create memorable family moments. To compile a scenario called “guests” is something to seriously think about and should not be forgotten designing the menu.
Living room – controlling each single lighting point as well as obtaining the harmony of lighting scenes cooperating with the home cinema, radio, television, projector and even blinds.
