The multifunctional button WPX TUKAN is next to the LCD touch panel and WPD button one of the most advanced Nexo smart home system manipulators. It enables system management from a 2.8 ”screen, 12 touch fields and a multifunctional slider integrated with icons. The button was created for rooms with a large number of lighting points, blinds or other controllable resources, such as ventilation or heating. It replace the long strip of traditional switches, brings order and integrates many devices in an ergonomic interface. The large, colorful screen gives the most important data – home temperature, weather, current time. When we approach the device, the switch automatically wakes up and displays basic information about lighting, ventilation and other resources selected by the household. Thanks to the light sensor, the screen brightness is automatically adjusted to the time of day.
Twelve individually engraved touch fields allow easy, intuitive control. The colorful backlight of icons shows the state of the given resource and improves the ergonomics of the control. The integration of the ring cut in the glass makes it easy to control the intensity and color of lighting, thermostat, blind or music volume settings.
The multi-function touch button WPD is, besides the LCD touch panel, one of the most sophisticated manipulators in the Nexo automation system. It enables the management of the entire system from a 3.5” touch-screen and multi-functional knob.

Modern design
The manipulator is made of the glass type “Optiwhite” painted in white or black colour. To reach the aim of the “golden ratio”, the glass pane has chamfers as well as 18 additional grindings, so that there is no chance of getting snags, and to ensure certain aesthetics of the product.
The manipulator WPD is equipped with a multi-functional knob. In the normal working mode the knob lets you smoothly navigate through the menu and activate the selected functions. During a transition time the device turns to the screen saver mode, with simply holding the button it wakes up and returns to the main menu. Additionally, in the screen-saver mode it is possible to assign completely new functions determined by the user’s imagination, which are only limited by the devices used within the operating field in the Nexo system. That functionality is quite often used in living and bedrooms. Entering a room the first thing to do is switching on the lights. Therefore you just press the knob, but this is only half of the function. A similar usage is possible with the blinds. If you turn the knob to the right, you raise them, to the left you lower them. With every stepwise rotation turning the knob to the left or to the right it is possible to change the angle of the blind slats.

MENU
The touch-screen of the manipulator is divided into six sections to allow an optimum usage of the display. There are no limitations concerning the amount of used icons, so it is possible to build-up a proper menu, designed at user’s option.
EXAMPLE OF MENU FUNCTIONS
Living room – dining room – kitchen
Start screen – room separation – three folders are symbolising rooms e.g. kitchen, dining room or living room and elements they have in common like heating, ventilation or blinds.
Kitchen – On the screen you can control the ceiling lights, the lighting of the cupboards as well as the wall lamps. A built-in audio controller allows also to control the radio, CD or MP3 during the preparation of the daily meals. After a predetermined time the lighting used for family dinner turns off automatically because a motion sensor detects when all family members are gone.
Dining room – Here it’s possible to regulate the lighting of the table, wall lamps, cupboards or the background lighting of paintings. The lighting scenes can be bound for family dinners just as for Sunday breakfasts on a cloudy morning. Along to the started scenario a fitting radio channel is turning on to create memorable family moments. To compile a scenario called “guests” is something to seriously think about and should not be forgotten designing the menu.
Living room – controlling each single lighting point as well as obtaining the harmony of lighting scenes cooperating with the home cinema, radio, television, projector and even blinds.

The programmable switches can be installed into our appropriate installation box which is designed for installing it into plasterboards.
Thanks to the design of the installation box, the glass pane of the manipulator is level with the wall, giving the desired effect about the aesthetics of the mounting. Additionally, the box enables a rotation up to five degrees in both directions, in order to compensate irregularities on the wall. The manipulator itself is installed into the installation box via magnetic fasteners, discreetly placed into the box. Also, the box has a cover as protection against any kind of dirt, in case there is construction work.

After clicking the ceiling lamp turns off meanwhile the bedside lamps turn on. With this it’s easy to enjoy the pleasure of reading in a comfortable atmosphere. After a long holding the manipulator “peeps” and the symbol colour changes to red whereby the change to another lighting scenario is indicated used for watching films.
Air conditioning
Activates the air conditioning ensuring the possibility of increasing or decreasing the temperature to a desired value
A short click starts the device in contrast holding increases the cooling temperature. Click and hold let the device return to the minimum temperature it offers.
Alarm system
A long holding of the icon activates the alarm system in the night mode. In the same time there will be an information on all other manipulators indicated through a sound and the flashing up of the lock symbol. The activation of the alarm system can be also combined with other automation functions like the turning off the lighting and television in the living room or the lowering of the blinds in the ground floor.

Simple click to turn on or off the room lighting
In case you hold it a moment longer, the ceiling lamp could be darkened to a minimum level. If the light is turned on, the symbol glows in red colour. In contrast it shines in a convenient white colour if the room is dark.
Blinds
Touching the icon raises or lowers the blinds
While the blinds are moving, an inconsiderable sound rings out and the symbol also indicates through pulsate illuminating that they are moving.
Thermostat
Starts the heating in the day or night mode
Clicking onto the symbol allows the change of the working mode, the symbol’s colour symbolises the current status. If the symbol is “flashing up” every five seconds, it means that the heating is turned off.
Would you like to change the icons on the glass pane? • That is really easy!
If you do not like the used icons any more, and want to do some changes, you can easily do this by using the WPP Engraver. The installation of the new panes is easy. Just remove the manipulator from the box, remove the five screws, unplug the glass pane and install the new one. The whole process will not take longer than ten minutes.
Adapt your manipulator to your interior design as well as to your needs • Choose the icons and the glass colours
The engraver shows you in an easy way to select and visualize icons on the glass pane. Also the corresponding library of more than 100 icons allows a representation of even the most sophisticated functions. After selecting the icons and clicking onto placing an order, the new glass pane will be produced on the production site of Nexwell.
The programmable button is a device which cooperates with the input of monostable adapters. This enables up to 18 independent functions, distinguishing by the way of pressing the button.
It is an excellent choice for all those who appreciate classic switches, used since years in conventional electrical installations.

Each of the connected switches offers three different functions, depending on how long the button is pressed – short click, long click and hold.
For instance:
a short click turns on the main lighting circuit,
a long click turns on all lighting circuits at once,
holding steers the blinds.
The wide spectrum of activities allows you to define the button activities in dependence of the time, the status of the selected circuits, the alarm system, and any other influences.
Advanced functions
Imagine for a moment the situation where there are two lighting circuits in one room. If it is bright enough outside, you use only of the two lighting circuits – if it is dark, you turn on both circuits. Linking it to the light sensor, it is possible that the lighting automatically enables/disables the first and/or second circuit, depending on the light conditions outside.

Alarm
The icon is symbolising the armed alarm system in the night or regular mode. When the lock is closed and additionally all other icons are flashing red, it is telling you that the alarm is active.
Air conditioning
Symbolises the usage of a air recuperation, using the icons “+” and “-” you adjust the recuperation.
Music
Switching between the buttons “+” and “-” via clicking is turning the volume of the chosen music source up or down. Therefore, the holding of “+” switches between the different music sources (radio, CD, MP3), meanwhile holding “-” changes the radio channel, music title or the MP3 folder.
Thermostat
The icon shows that with the “+” and “-” symbol the temperature in a determined room can be changed.
Films/chandelier
Lighting scenes
Thanks to this icon, you are able to run two different lighting scenarios. After a simple click the system activates the best lighting proportions that are the most comfortable for watching TV or films. The chandelier step by step turns off, therefore the suspended ceiling as well as the wall lamps spend pleasing lighting. Just shortly after this the interaction between the television, Blu-ray player and audio system automatically starts. In contrast to that a long holding on the symbol could effect the perfect lighting conditions for a family dinner. Slowly the lights close to the dining table are illuminating, additionally the suspended ceiling spends convenient, warm light and the thermostat is set on pleasant 21 °C. Furthermore the recuperation turns on as well as the radio, so that the cooperation of all these components provide for a memorable meeting.

Clicking onto the icon starts raising or lowering the blinds the following way: up – stop – down – stop. Meanwhile long holding lets you adjust the angle of the blind slats, or let the curtains slide inside the room.

Light up the ceiling in any colour
One click is enough to switch on the lighting, therefore with a long holding on the symbol you can decide which colour you would like to have – no matter if cold or warm, yellow, green or purple, all colours are possible. After letting loose the present colour will stay.
Air conditioning/Thermostat
Operation mode of the icons “+” and “-”
With the help of the controlling icons “+” and “-” you can easily set the value of the thermostat or the efficiency of the ventilation.
Would you like to change the icons on the glass pane? • That is really easy!
If you do not like the used icons any more, and want to do some changes, you can easily do this by using the WPP Engraver. The installation of the new panes is easy. Just remove the manipulator from the box, remove the five screws, unplug the glass pane and install the new one. The whole process will not take longer than ten minutes.

The IP video phone enables the integration with the home management centre and LCD touch panel, having access from smartphones and tablets.

The IP video phone is the combination of sanded glass together with brushed and oxidised aluminium. It was designed to compose one style of all Nexo manipulators.

Receiving calls from the video phone on your smart phone or tablet. After arming the alarm system the calls will directly get forwarded. Live view of the camera from anywhere on the world. The redirecting starts immediately after a certain amount of rings.
AUTOMATION
Guest function – Are you expecting guests? Clicking a certain icon on a manipulator or touch panel, and the video phone will let your friends enter within a certain period of time. Looking for household members – After calling the video phone, it will look for motion or presence in the rooms, and only rings where persons are present. Welcoming guests – The video phone will automatically stop the watering, turn on the garden lighting, and open the entrance gates for the car. Hearing impaired – For hearing impaired people it is possible to flash or change the colour of the lighting. Night alarm – After activating the night alarm the video phone will only ring in the bedroom.
INTEGRATION WITH PROGRAMMABLE SWITCHES AND LCD TOUCH PANELS
The video phone enables the integration of all available programmable manipulators. There is the possibility to issue the sound of calling on a switch, to open the gates with any button, and to symbolise the state of opening with the background colour. In case of the LCD touch panel, it is also possible to integrate audio and video cassettes. Therefore, additional handsets are not needed anymore.

The zone keypad provides an easy and convenient way to arm and disarm the Nexo alarm system. It is equipped with a 3.5 inches large coloured screen, and a sensory keypad with background lighting. This device is perfectly fitting at places like the garages or vestibules, where the residents easily want to activate or deactivate the alarm system. An additional advantage is the integrated temperature sensor, which will show the measured temperature directly on the screen. The sensor is located directly underneath the glass pane, so that the measurement is accurate, without the inertia effect.

The panel window is divided into four basic blocks:

System status bar
The diary of the system status shows the last three actions performed by the system. Icons – the key icon shows whether the partition is armed or not, the first exclamation mark icon the status of the partition, the second one the correct operation of the system, and the signal strength is corresponding the GSM signal. The description describes the partition status or system failure. Thermometer – each panel can be assigned with a thermometer, that will be visible on the system status bar. The choice of the thermometer is made in the menu settings/thermometer. Clock and date – setting the time and date possible from the menu system/administrator.

Desktop
The spacious desktop allows the user to create its own shortcuts to the most used functions. These shortcuts, in form of icons, may relate to specific system resources, directories, lighting scenarios, etc. Each icon can be protected by a password which is especially useful in situations where children are also household members. Thanks to the direct near to the desktop bookmarks, you are able to preview images captured by the video entry phone, leave handwritten notes to the other household members, or go into the full-screen mode to see the Floor plan.

Diary
The menu consists of a number of tabs: Diary – space that displays system messages and information on actions taking place at that time Thermometers – complete control over the heating through changing the setting of the thermostat, and setting the bus temperature sensors as well as the integrated sensors of the glass manipulators, determining the work of the facility heating zones. RGB+W – management system for LED, coloured and monochromatic lighting. The user has access to the brightness adjustment bar, colour saturation and colour mixer, capable of creating the most sophisticated colours. You can also save the created colour, and use it at any time you would like to. Gestures – a field for entering a pre-defined hand gesture causing the activation of a function selected by the user (e.g. closing the blinds by dragging down the finger)
